Ceph Docker uses the currently latest stable Ceph Release infernalis. No LTS version and in preparation of the new v10.0.0 codebase.
We are using custom scripts to Deploy Ceph Core Components in conformance with the Scope of this Ceph Cluster.
To Deploy Ceph User Services we add the Metadata, Gateway and API services.
But some are out of scope, but still informative to the given environment:
ceph-deploy requires setup of multiple virtual machines and multiple virtual networks
Ceph Ansible requires setup of multiple virtual machines and multiple virtual networks, outdated components
